It’s always a joy to photograph each and every wedding but this one had a special place in my heart.
Brooke and Josh have been awaiting this precious day for three patient, yet sweet years. This beauty is a one of the most extraordinary young women I have had the pleasure of knowing. Brooke along with her sister and following in the footsteps of her mother, is a pilot. She is adventurous, athletic and intelligent all while being quite beautiful and humble at the same time. Can we just say Girl boss extraordinaire! These are just a few of the remarkable thigs that made Josh fall in love with her. I think it was her determination that brought them together. Well… that and the good Lord. Josh’s family facilitates a beautiful ministry “Hope Out Loud”. https://www.hopeoutloud.com/ Brooke became familiar with the ministry then as a result Josh his radiant heart and personality, not to mention that “adorable” smile of his. Brooke was smitten and decided to take the bold step of sending a DM to Josh to encourage his mission. Josh wisely took the opportunity to respond by asking her out for coffee. It wasn’t long before Josh fell into the Blue Lagoon of Brooke’s stunning eyes and into her heart as well.
What a joy to see the joining together of two families who love and serve the Lord with their whole heart and lives. This was a celebration in every sense of the word. Each moment was so special from the spirit filled prayers, to the songs they sang, to the family and friends who filled the room. A gorgeous handmade cross created the ceremony altarpiece. While it did rain the better portion of the day that didn’t hinder a thing. We were still able to get plenty of photos. The venue took such care to set up for the ceremony inside. Eventually the rain did stop in time for a glorious sunset. It was such a sweet moment and gift from our good God.
The reception went on for hours. The food was most exceptional. The root beer floats were so fun and honestly the most delicious home made root beer from a keg ever! It think the coffee truck from Two Sister’s kept everyone dancing extra long into the night. Josh’s grandmother envisioned an Old Model T Ford to carry the couple onto their next adventure. Needless to say these sweet people have a lifetime of love and adventure ahead as they fly through life together. Now enjoy a peek into the Barrick’s wedding day!
